Please read this information carefully as it outlines the Terms and Conditions under which you may use this site. If you do not agree with any other there Terms and Conditions, do not use this site.

By using this site, you are indicating your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. For the purposes of this Agreement, the terms “you”, “user”, “enrollee”, “student” and “client” refer to you or any other user accessing this site. The terms “ABBEY Language Travel”, “ABBEY”, “we”, “our”, “us” and “this site” refer to ABBEY Language Travel. We do not warrant that your access and use of the website will be uninterrupted or error free.

Service Guarantees
ABBEY Language Travel is appointed as a representative of its partner schools to provide a highly professional student recruitment and counseling service. This service is free of charge to students and clients using ABBEY Language Travel to assist them in their selection and enrolment in a suitable language program.

The information provided in this site aims to be current, precise and accurate. It is based on information provided by ABBEY’s partner schools, suppliers and/or other Third Parties. ABBEY therefore does not warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any information in this website. In addition, this information may change from time to time and it is therefore advisable to revisit the information provided in the site.

ABBEY can not be held responsible nor does it accept liability for changes in arrangements for tuition, accommodation, transport, activities or any other matters made by Third Parties.

Nor will ABBEY, its officers, employees, agents and contractors be held liable in any way for any loss or damage, however it arises out of or in connection with your access and use of this website. If a user of this site does however become aware of material discrepancies between the information provided in this site and the services rendered by its Partner School or other third party, please do not hesitate to provide us with your detailed feedback.

Enrolment, Payment, Cancellation and Refund
Any Terms & Conditions associated with Enrolment, Fee Payment, Cancellation and Refund are the Terms and Conditions set by the partner schools of ABBEY Language Travel or the Terms & Conditions set by ABBEY Language Travel, whichever represent the minimum. These Terms and Conditions are provided with the Booking Invoices, Confirmation of Enrolment and/or prior to any Fee Payment.

Enrolment Policy
Enrolments sent by post or electronically, whether by web or email, are to contain correct and accurate information. Such enrolments, whether or not they are signed, represent acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

It is the responsibility of clients to provide ABBEY Language Travel with written notification of any changes to contact information or other enrolment information as soon as possible.

Enrollees are required to provide ABBEY Language Travel with flight details including flight arrival details, particularly if airport transfers have been booked as soon as they have been confirmed and no less than ten (10) working days prior to provision of the booked service.

Most partner schools have expectations or Codes of Conduct with respect to enrolment and use of other services such as accommodation and pick-up services. These will generally be set out in enrolment packs or First Day materials and presentations supplied by ABBEY’s partner schools. These are reasonable expectations and Codes of Conduct which must be accepted as implicit by enrollees when booking courses and services with the assistance of ABBEY Language Travel.

Payment Policy
The minimum payment conditions applied by ABBEY Language Travel for Courses, Accommodation and Airport Transfer services booked with the assistance of ABBEY Language Travel are set out below. Note that these minimum conditions apply unless ABBEY’s partner school has set Payment conditions which exceed these minimum conditions.

A Non Refundable Deposit is payable prior to ABBEY proceeding with enrolling a client or clients with one or more of ABBEY’s Partner School(s). 

All other fees including course, accommodation, transfer and book fees where applicable, are payable in full four (4) weeks prior to the date of provision of the first booked service (eg airport transfer, arrival into booked accommodation, course commencement). Payments must be received by the school three (3) weeks prior to the date of provision of the first booked service. Note that international bank transfers and telegraphic transfers may take up to a week to clear into ABBEY’s partner school bank accounts.

Clients may pay fees directly to ABBEY’s Partner school or other supplier of services.  Alternatively, clients may remit invoiced amounts plus a Service Fee to ABBEY Language Travel.  The Service Fee covers the cost of bank fees and foreign exchange risk.  As an appointed representative of its partner schools, ABBEY reserves the right to pursue payments and invoices due to its partner schools from clients.

International Bank Transfers or Telegraphic Transfers incur bank fees and charges which remain the responsibility for payment by the enrollee. Note that local banks may use intermediary banks for international money transfers and that these fees and charges are also for payment by the enrollee.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
The minimum cancellation and refund conditions applied by ABBEY Language Travel for pre-paid Course, Accommodation and Airport Transfer services booked with the assistance of ABBEY Language Travel are set out below. Note that these minimum conditions apply unless ABBEY’s partner school has set Cancellation and Refund conditions which exceed these minimum conditions.

Course Cancellations & Deferrals
For the purpose of this policy, a course is defined as the number of weeks that has been prepaid for tuition at any school or partner school booked with the assistance of ABBEY Language Travel. Registration Fee is payable once only and are non refundable.

• A full refund of course fees (less any bank fees or other transactions costs) is made where at least 4 weeks written notice of cancellation is provided prior to commencement of the course
• Less than 4 weeks written notice prior to commencement of the course, a cancellation charge equal to 50% of tuition will apply. 
• If a visa application has been denied, a full refund of tuition fees less any bank fees or other transaction costs will be made on presentation of the Embassy rejection letter. 
• If a course is to be deferred, no cancellation charge applies and prepaid fees are retained by ABBEY’s partner school. 
• If a course is to be shortened or interrupted, a 2 week cancellation charge applies with 2 weeks written notification. There is no refund of course fees with less than 2 weeks notification.
• If ABBEY’s partner school is unable to offer the booked course for any reason, a full refund applies.

Accommodation Cancellations & Deferrals
Accommodation Placement Fees may be charged by ABBEY’s partner schools to cover the cost of administration of accommodation placement services. Accommodation Placement Fees are non-refundable.

• Two weeks written notice of cancellation or deferral of accommodation prior to check-in, full refund 
• Less than 2 weeks written notice of cancellation or deferral prior to check-in, a cancellation charge equal to 2 weeks accommodation fees will apply 
• If you wish to leave your homestay at any time, you are required to give written notice of 2 weeks. 
• Special cancellation fees may apply for other accommodation arrangements, where they are cancelled, deferred or shortened.

Airport Transfer Cancellation & No Shows
No refund will be made if the student fails to notify ABBEY Language Travel or ABBEY’s partner school directly of their flight/arrival details or any change of details.

Changes to Terms & Conditions
ABBEY Language Travel reserves the right to amend the information in this website and/or these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice.

Trademarks & Copyright
The ABBEY Language Travel name and the ABBEY Language Travel logo, are protected by copyright and international trademarks and may not be used without our prior written permission. All materials provided on or through this site, including without limitation, text, graphics, images, data and code, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not modify, copy, publish, reproduce or distribute any of the information on this site.

Various Third Party logos and other images appearing in this site have been reproduced with the permission of the Third Parties or their representatives. These logos and images are also protected by international Copyright laws and may not be reproduced without their express permission.

You must not use this site for any purpose which is unlawful or which is prohibited by the terms of use.

General
ABBEY Language Travel is a registered company limited by guarantee in New South Wales (NSW) Australia. The company is governed by the law of the State of New South Wales in Australia and no effect will be given to any principle of conflict of laws or jurisdiction.

Nevertheless, if any item of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the relevant item will be severed and the invalidity of this item shall not affect the validity of the remaining items of these Terms & Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
